Wow.. what a weekend! When I arrived at Liberty Advance Thursday evening I was excited to work and ready for change.
I soon realized I had no idea what I was in for.. really hard work. I was nearing the end of my Master Cleanse challenge and burning a lot of calories fast. It wasn’t long before I was completely exhausted and ready for food. I had decided it was important for me to ease off of the fast so I was prepared with miso soup, fresh juices, and homemade vegetable soup. By the end of the day I had nearly forgotten I was fasting at all.
I spent the first two days cleaning and organizing anything and everything that had to do with cooking, eating, and serving food. I scrubbed more dishes than I even knew we had and it felt good! I found everything a new home in the Nook and set aside those that would move to the outdoor Kitchen. On day 3 my project was put on hold until a cement slab was dry so I finished up what was left of dishes and appliances, fixed the spice hutch, and allowed myself the luxury of soaking up some sun, lounging on the bathing deck, and taking photos. It was a beautiful day!
Day 4 was spent putting together our fabulous outdoor kitchen as well as the practice room with it’s beautiful new hardwood floors, followed by lots of cleaning and organizing. I didn’t rest until every last dish was washed, every pillow fluffed, every picture hung, and every block was in place.
This morning I woke up to a transformation I never could have imagined. The Shala looks spectacular! I am so very grateful for all of our friends who came out to help us take something amazing and make it so much more amazing!
