Rachel believes that Yoga can be a healing and transformational practice. She began her own journey into Yoga after many years of trauma, illness and chronic pain. She found that practicing yoga asana, pranayama, and meditation allowed her the opportunity to slow down, draw her attention inward, and find healing in her physical, emotional, and mental body.

Rachel completed her first 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2011 with Murshida Rudi Kadre of the New Being School of Consciousness. She has since become a certified AcroYoga teacher and Yantra Yoga first level teacher and was one of the first certified YogaSlackers teachers. She began training with Bhava Ram and Laura Plumb of the Deep Yoga School of Healing Arts in 2012, learning the Deep Yoga style of teaching. She is currently assisting Bhava and Laura’s Teacher Trainings, retreats, and immersions and is training to teach others to become Deep Yoga teachers.

Rachel teaches a deep healing and restorative yoga class in the Deep Yoga style incorporating mantra, pranayama and meditation practices. She offers a safe space for students to move inward and find healing through moving meditation. She currently teaches at Ginseng Yoga in San Diego.
